Product Performance of Polyoxyethylene Monolauric Ester:
This ester has many hydrophilic groupings. It is miscible with ethanol, water, methanol, ethyl-acetate and non-volatile liquid oils. However, it is not soluble in light petroleum, liquid paraffins or nonvolatile oils. One part is soluble with 130 parts cottonseed oils and 200 parts toluene. The pH of the aqueous solution is between 5 and 7. It is soluble with corn oil, dioxane (carbon tetrachloride), fibrin, methanol and ethanol.
